Tasked with designing a popup space out of shipping containers for an existing retail company, I chose to feature a collaboration between JINsoon nails and Harry Styles. The design focus aims to promote inclusivity through a neutral color palette and casual atmosphere. Accent colors and graphics directly from Harry Styles’ branding are recognizable from outside and inside the popup as photo opportunities for visitors. JINsoon’s clean and elegant design as seen in their New York spas is represented through a contrast of materials such as light wood and dark cloth couches. Other materials such as glass mirrors and mounted LED screens add interest while white accents tie both brands together.
As part of their experience, visitors receive a sample size of JINsoon’s signature nail kit featuring three colors from the new ‘Fine Line’ collection. By night, the popup transforms into a stage for Harry Styles to perform on top of and a light show for fans to dance under.
